She was group leader in the area of battery recycling at IME (Institute for Process Metallurgy and Metal Recycling) at RWTH Aachen University, where she has been a doctoral candidate in battery recycling since 2016. Her ResearchGate profile shows a number of >21,000 reads, she submitted her Ph.D. thesis in 2021 with the topic of lithium recovery from lithium-sulfur batteries. She did technical consulting in the area of circular economy for li-ion batteries at the RWTH´s spin-off MIMI Tech since 2018 and holds her Master´s degree in materials engineering with a focus on metallurgy, also from RWTH Aachen.
