Review: Voices on Battery Day NRW 2022

Prof. Dr. Thorsten Wiesel
REACH EUREGIO START-UP CENTER, Westphalian Wilhelms University Münster
Climate protection requires technological innovations along the entire value chain of electrical storage. Here at the REACH - EUREGIO Start-up Center, we promote the transfer of knowledge between science and business to develop new ideas and mobilise previously untapped potential. The Battery Day NRW enables us and all visitors to exchange groundbreaking ideas in the field of battery technology with experts and provides exciting insights into the current transformation towards a sustainable energy industry.
Moritz Frieges, M.Sc.
Research Associate Battery Engineering & Safety
Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM) RWTH Aachen University
The Battery Day NRW offers a unique platform to find out about and exchange information on the exciting projects and ideas around the topic of batteries at our location.

Dr. Kolja Beltrop
E-Lyte Innovations GmbH, Münster
We would like to use the Battery Day NRW to make our young start-up better known to specialists in the industry, both nationally and internationally.
Dr.-Ing. Alexander Gitis
CEO / Geschäftsführer
Safion GmbH, Aachen
In view of the large number of new electrification projects in recent years, especially in the mobility sector, the requirements for the performance, service life and safety of battery systems continue to increase. To counter this and drive innovative ideas forward, I see knowledge sharing and collaboration as our most important means to success.
That's why I'm delighted that this year's Batterietag NRW can once again take place as a physical event andI'm very excited to see both familiar faces again and to hear about new creative approaches."

Afshin Doostdar
Founder & Managing Director Voltfang GmbH, Aachen
E-mobility is picking up speed in Germany. In order to make these truly sustainable, new battery technologies and holistic concepts for reuse and recycling are necessary.
Dirk Hauschild
Head of Research & Development
LIMO GmbH – A Focuslight Company
The technological advances are based not only on new material combinations but also on manufacturing methods that have to be adapted specifically for the battery components and their material properties. NRW offers a variety of key technologies that are crucial for optimising current and new material systems and manufacturing processes. The interdisciplinary cooperation of industrial companies and leading institutes form the right innovative mix for the energy storage systems of the future.

On April 27-28, 2023, the international symposium “Advanced Battery Power Conference” will follow the Battery Day NRW.
