From Poster to Main Stage: Josu Olmos on the Opportunities at Advanced Battery Power

At Advanced Battery Power 2026, Josu Olmos of IKERLAN S. COOP. presented two studies on advanced battery management: fault diagnostics for Li-ion battery packs and transfer-learning-based SoC algorithms for NMC and Na-ion batteries. The latter was selected among the ten finalists for the Best Poster Award, earning Olmos the opportunity to present the research in a lightning talk in the main conference hall.

His experience illustrates the conference’s value for authors: specialist feedback, visibility beyond the poster session and direct exchange with researchers and industry experts. Advanced Battery Power 2027, taking place in Aachen from 7 to 9 April, will once again provide a focused platform for presenting new results, discussing ideas and building connections across the battery value chain
