The current transformation of the automotive sector, particularly through electrification, poses numerous challenges. In particular, the availability of a skilled workforce and thus the qualification of employees will be a key challenge for industry. This transformation could result in an estimated 300,000 to 1 million jobs in Europe by 2030 in the areas of battery material and cell production alone.1,2 B3-Bayern aims to support companies, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs), to empower employees by qualifying them for the ongoing transformation process towards electromobility and to secure employment. The consortium will develop these qualification concepts along the battery value chain in form of short-term modules (Modul-Batt), process-oriented measures (APO-Batt) and training for company training staff, “train-the-trainer” (Coach-Batt).
