For Mathieu Morcrette, Advanced Battery Power brings together far more than a programme of specialist presentations. Morcrette speaks from both perspectives. As a research director at CNRS and co-founder and CTO of Tiamat, he works at the interface between electrochemical research, battery prototyping and commercial production. Tiamat specialises in sodium-ion technology, with Morcrette leading activities ranging from supply-chain specifications to the performance of batteries manufactured at industrial scale.
At the 2026 conference, his keynote addressed the optimisation and commercialisation of Tiamat’s sodium-ion chemistry for high-power charging applications. In his interview, however, he focuses less on technical details than on what a conference can achieve for an emerging company: it creates visibility, enables technologies to be explained directly and connects innovators with the wider battery ecosystem.

Advanced Battery Power will return to the Eurogress in Aachen from 7 to 9 April 2027.
