From PhD Research to Industry: Discover Both Sides of Battery Innovation in Aachen

Advanced Battery Power brings together experts who approach battery technology from different directions. Frederike Monsees, Mechanical Design Expert Battery Cell at PowerCo SE, first attended the conference as a PhD student. Three years later, she returned as an industry representative—gaining a new perspective on the same battery community.

For Monsees, this combination of academic expertise and industrial experience is one of the event’s greatest strengths. Conference sessions, exhibition presentations and personal discussions create opportunities to compare research findings with practical development requirements. At the PowerCo booth, strong visitor interest also led to detailed conversations about current battery-cell challenges, including cell swelling and mechanical behaviour.

Advanced Battery Power will return to Aachen from April 7 to 9, 2027. The conference and accompanying exhibition will once again connect specialists from science, research, development and industry across the battery value chain.
