Mirco Ruttert studied chemistry at the University of Münster and completed his doctorate in the working group of Prof. Dr Martin Winter at the MEET Battery Research Centre.

In his doctoral thesis, he dealt with the optimisation of anode materials for use in high-energy lithium-ion batteries. Mirco Ruttert is involved in more than 10 scientific publications.

Since January 2021, he has been responsible for managing public funding projects at E-Lyte Innovations GmbH.
