Dr Falko Schappacher has been the commercial and technical director of the MEET Battery Research Centre since September 2016. Since his PhD (2008) in Inorganic Solid State Chemistry, he looks back on many years of experience in various positions at the University of Münster and the MEET Battery Research Centre. During his time at MEET, he has supervised numerous funding projects from the initial idea, through application and project management, to project completion. Falko Schappacher is involved in more than 50 scientific publications and numerous conference contributions.

His research focuses on the ageing of lithium-ion batteries, scanning electron microscopy and EDX, X-ray diffractometry and Mößbauer spectroscopy.
