A model for a 280Ah LFP cell was developed based on the dominant physical degradation mechanism—SEI layer growth—including the influence of state of charge, temperature, and current rate. The model parameters were fitted to the manufacturer datasheet and validated using capacity results from 28 racks of a 4MW 2h BESS. The model shows good agreement with test data, achieving 1% error for SOH estimation.
