His focus is on the development of new materials, components and cell designs for lithium-ion, lithium-metal and alternative battery systems. The chemist has received more than 60 scientific awards and recognitions.\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/blockquote>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7a99aa7d elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-global elementor-global-616 elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"7a99aa7d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6db0cab9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6db0cab9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Martin Winter currently holds a professorship for \u201cMaterials Science, Energy and Electrochemistry\u201d at the Institute of Physical Chemistry at the University of M\u00fcnster, Germany. The full professorship developed from an endowed professorship funded by the companies Volkswagen, Evonik Industries and Chemetall (today Albemarle) from 2008 to 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Martin Winter is founder and scientific director of MEET Battery Research Center at the University of M\u00fcnster. MEET stands for &#8220;M\u00fcnster Electrochemical Energy Technology&#8221;. Since 2015, he is also founding director of Helmholtz Institute M\u00fcnster HI MS \u201cIonics in Energy Storage\u201d, an institute branch of Forschungszentrum J\u00fclich. MEET and HI MS are internationally leading institutions in the research and development of innovative electrochemical energy storage systems.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3d40156f elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-global elementor-global-616 elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"3d40156f\"
