Als Bindeglied zwischen Wissenschaft, Forschung und Wirtschaft ist es das Ziel der Fraunhofer-Einrichtung Forschungsfertigung Batteriezelle FFB, eine Forschungsinfrastruktur zur ökologischen und ökonomischen Batteriezellproduktion zu errichten. Dadurch soll der Innovations- und Kommerzialisierungsprozess von Produktionstechnologien für bestehende und zukünftige Zellformate beschleunigt werden. Die Schwerpunkte der Forschungsarbeit versammeln sich in allen Bereichen rund um die Batterie(-fertigung): von der Batterietechnologie und Zertifizierung neuer Batterietypen über die Prozessoptimierung bei der Produktion bis hin zur Anwendung, dem Batterierecycling und Weiterbildungsmöglichkeiten.

Batterieforschung mit dem Pulvermesssystem PD-600 – Verbesserte Leistung und ressourceneffiziente Produktion
Die Entwicklung leistungsfähiger Batterien erfordert hochwertige Leitadditive und Kohlenstoffe, die die elektronische Leitfähigkeit der Batteriekathoden beeinflussen. Um die Reichweite, Ladezeit und Lebensdauer von Lithium-Ionen Batterien zu verbessern und gleichzeitig eine ressourceneffiziente Produktion zu gewährleisten, sind stetig neue Formulierungen gefragt.
Hier kommt das Pulvermesssystem PD-600 ins Spiel, das die physikalischen Eigenschaften von pulvrigen Substanzen über den spezifischen Widerstand bestimmen kann. Die Messstation wird in Verbindung mit dem bewährten Leitfähigkeitsmessgerät Hiresta-UX bzw. Loresta-GX betrieben und bietet zwei separate Zylinder-Messköpfe für den niederohmigen und hochohmigen Messbereich.
Das PD-600 kann in der Batterie-, Pharma- und Polymerforschung sowie der Produktionstechnik und Qualitätskontrolle eingesetzt werden. Insbesondere pulvrige Substanzen von Kohlenstoffprodukten, metallische und thermoplastische Pulver sowie Pigmente und Beschichtungen stehen im Fokus.

THT UK Thermal Hazard Technology

Thermal Hazard Technology (THT) is one of the leading suppliers of lithium battery safety testing equipment.
ARC provides an adiabatic testing environment typically leading to full thermal runaway. Thermal abuse, overcharge, controlled-speed nail penetration and short circuit can be carried in the ARC.
IBC Isothermal Battery Calorimeters (IBC) for high precision heat measurement and heat capacity determination.
ICP maintains isothermal conditions of an entire battery with minimal internal thermal gradients during cell cycling.
